2020 National Russian Essay Contest Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the Annual ACTR National Post-Secondary Russian Essay Contest. In this year's contest, there were 1261 essays submitted from 56 universities, colleges, and institutions across the nation. Three judges read each essay and independently ranked them.

This year Dartmouth received two awards (19 students participated):

Gold medal - Katarina Nesic, category Slavic, 4th year.
Honorable Mention - Ian Reinke, category Russian, 2nd year.

The American Council of Teachers of Russian (ACTR) was founded in 1974 as an association of language and area professionals involved with Russian language, literature and linguistics. Membership is open to all persons with an interest in the study and teaching of the Russian language.
